How do you approach commercial projects?
First I figure out what you're actually about. Not your mission statement rubbish, but what you genuinely care about. Then we make something that shows that.
What types of businesses do you work with?
Usually smaller businesses where the founder still answers emails. People who'd rather be genuine than look like every other company.
Do you help with ideas and direction?
Yeah, I'll help you work out what to film and how to film it. You don't need to arrive with a perfect plan.
How long does a project take?
Usually a few weeks from first chat to final film. I'll tell you upfront what's involved.
What does the filming day look like?
Pretty relaxed. We'll have a plan but won't stress if things go differently. The best moments usually happen when we're not forcing them.
How much involvement do we need?
Up to you. Some clients want to be involved in everything, others just show up on filming day. Both work fine.
What if we're not used to being on camera?
Most people hate it at first. I'm good at making people forget the camera's there. You'll be fine.
